America has a powerful game culture. We love to play games. Athletic games, board games, card games, gambling games, almost any kind of games. And Americans like to win!

That spirit of competition, like our fondness for a competitive free-market economy, has often been criticized. Sometimes it’s brutal. It creates winners, but it also creates lots of losers. And it seldom seems to create contentment. Both winners and losers are discontent. They’re supposed to be discontent. They are supposed to be hungry to compete, to work harder, to get back in the game, and to WIN!
