Outreach at St. Paul

St. Paul is committed to serving together.  Proper stewardship of God’s gifts and blessings reminds us that everyting, even life itself, comes from Him. Here are some opportunities for you to use those gifts in service to others:

Alpha House
Support for homeless families through service at Alpha House allows volunteers to spend time playing with the children, serving meals, or staying overnight as a back-up for the regular staff person there. St. Paul Contact Alpha House directly, or volunteer during St. Paul’s annual week of service in October.
Arbor Women & Familly Life Services
These organizations offer support for pregnant mothers & their children. All life is precious to God, including the life of those waiting to be born. A response of grace to pregnant mothers helps to meet the needs of those who are struggling with a difficult or unplanned pregnancy. Arbor Woman and Family Life Services are great places to volunteer to help, or they can provide material assistance needed to young moms.
Short Term Missions
Short-Term mission opportunities have sent people to Panama, Russia, Latvia, China, Siberia, Germany, as well as communities in need here in the US like Biloxi, Mississippi. Watch for upcoming opportunities to be a part of a mission team!
Global Outreach
Supporting global organizations shows loving care and shares God’s Word with people around the world. Collections are gathered for Lutheran World Relief in the fall, and a growing partnership is developing with People of the Book Lutheran Outreach (POBLO) that shares the gospel with Muslims in the United States and in the Middle East.
LinC (Love In Christ)
Visit the Elderly. You can also be a blessing by visiting those in need. Our LinC visitors (Love in Christ) stop in to see members who are sick or shut-in. The visit doesn’t require any professional skill, just a loving and joyful heart. Contact the Church Office for more information.
Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministry provides 50 hours of training to members who are willing to be sensitive listeners to people in crisis. Grief ministry, divorce recovery, life transitions, and much more are reasons that people welcome a Stephen Minister to come alongside. Volunteers in this ministry make a significant commitment, but they also provide a wonderful blessing. Contact the Church Office at info@stpaulannarbor.org for more information.
