Welcome to the "A,B, Seas" of Learning!
Dear Kindergarten Parents,
Another Kindergarten year is about to begin! During the first few weeks, I will have the opportunity of getting to know a new group of children and if I have not already done so, I am looking forward to meeting you throughout the year.
I hope your child will have a happy and productive year in Kindergarten and that school will meet some of your child’s individual needs. The Kindergarten program is concerned not merely with teaching the child to acquire certain skills and facts, but with the whole child and the physical, mental, spiritual, and creative development: feelings, attitudes and relationships as well as the character and personality of the child. I hope that this school experience will be a happy one which provides a stimulating educational environment while helping to increase your child’s self-identity, self-fulfillment, and the feeling that he/she is a truly valuable child of God.
During our first important weeks of school, routine and learning patterns will be established and I will have a chance to discover some of your child’s needs and interests. At the same time, I hope your child will begin to recognize Kindergarten as a safe and enjoyable place where he/she has the chance to experience independence, to develop social contacts with other children, to express ideas verbally as well as non-verbally, to experiment, to investigate, and to discover.
As the year continues, please feel free to call or drop me a note at any time if you should have a question, concern or comment. Formal conferences will be held in November and April but if you wish to arrange a special conference to discuss your child or any area of the program, please feel free to contact me at any time.
Here’s to a SUCCESSFUL year!
In Christ, Julie Novak

Greetings,
Wow! It is hard to believe that this is our last newsletter! Thank you for allowing me the privilege to be your child’s teacher and share in their growth. It has been a great year, because this is a great class!
THANK YOU to Mr. Ehrman, Mr. Cross, Mr. Runstadler, Mr. Tincher, and Mrs. Dorsey for driving and chaperoning to the zoo. I hope you enjoyed it as much as the students did!
Puppet Book Report is due May 30th! Make your own puppet of a main character in your book. Write out a summary of the book from your puppet’s point of view. You will be reading your summary with your puppet in class. Ideas for puppets include: sock, lunch bag, or stick.
