Dear Parents,
This Wednesday Dr. Farjo will be coming to our classroom to make telescopes with the children. Thank you to all of you who donated Pringles cans for this event.
This Friday is our trip to the Toledo Zoo. Here is a check list for you to consider when sending your child to school that day.
- Be sure to wear sunscreen.
- Please pack a disposable water bottle for your child. Be sure to write their name on it.
- You will need to pack a lunch, complete with drink for your child. Please use disposable containers. Again be sure to write your child’s name on their lunch bag.
- Your child should wear their “Proclaim the Name” shirt and they are allowed to wear non-dress code bottoms.
- Don’t forget your child’s car seat.
- There is no need to send extra money with your child. They will not be purchasing any snacks or souvenirs that day.
- Remember we will be leaving asap from school and will not arrive back until 3:00 p.m. I will walk the children out to the car pool line at 3:15 p.m. for dismissal.
Friday, June 4th is the school carnival. Each class is in charge of supervising one of the games. Our class is working the “Fishers of Men” game. There is a sign-up sheet on the classroom door. Please sign-up if you are able to help.
Tuesday, June 8th will be an all school field day. We will participate in fun games and activities as a school. Your child is being asked to wear their “Proclaim the Name” shirt and alternate dress bottoms. Dismissal for this day will be our usual 11:30 a.m.
Wednesday, June 9th is kindergarten graduation. We are in need donations for several food items for the reception that will follow the ceremony. The sign-up sheet can be found on the wall between the 2 classrooms.
The graduation will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the Crusader Gym. The children are allowed to wear dressy clothing if they wish. If they would rather not wear “church clothes” dress code is fine. Our class will sing a class song, share their favorite things about kindergarten, and walk across the stage to receive their diplomas. Please invite any special person that you think would want to share this event with you and your child.
All the graduation festivities should end by 10:00 a.m. At that time I will be taking the children back to our classroom for some last minute clean up/housekeeping items. Closing chapel will begin at 10:45 a.m. You are more than welcome to join us for the service. Last day of school dismissal time will be 11:30 a.m. for the entire student body.
